What is print publishing?
Print publishing is any printed piece. Often the word publishing is associated with books, and that is a form of publishing. However, with respect to design, print publishing is representative of a design project that will be used primarily in the form of a tangible visible object. This would include but not limited to books, billboards, signage, packaging, pamphlets, brochures, posters, postcards, business cards, presentations, labels, silk-screening, and offset printing.

What is web publishing?
Web publishing is the use of any information for display on the internet or intranet. Due to the overwhelming popularity of the internet, web publishing has a relatively clear definition.

What is packaging design?
Packaging design involves the evaluation and implementation of material form and function to present a product. This could involve silk-screening a mug, cardboard boxes with a logo, die cut boards, molds, and many other forms. Design ties together the form and function to represent your product in a professional way that is appropriate for your target market.

What is brand identity?
Brand identity is a unique set of associations that represent a company, product and/or brand.
These associations can include text, imagery, a logo mark, color, trademarks, and its overall style. The brand identity defines the what and who as well as resonates with the target audience.

What is user interface design?
UI design is the implementation of functionality with brand identity to create an experience for the user of a particular product. Good UI design allows the user to perform specific tasks without overtly interrupting or distracting from that task.

What is illustration?
Illustration is the use of artwork to express information. This could take the form of a map, diagram, organization chart, directions, instructions or complementary imagery. The artwork can be either hand drawn, painted or computer generated. It is most often supported by text, but for plain art illustration, it makes a statement all it's own.
